Past experience
Our many years of experience allow as to say that we have successfully completed 45 research, business and training projects, from our three branches. We can also claim that we have trained more than seven hundred participants from business studies, budgeting, accounting and association development, to surveyors and interviewers.
Our experience allows as presenting a budget of more than a 100 clients on the civil society, public and private sectors for the last two years.

National Research – Surveys – Focus Group
National Business Agenda Survey and research: In the National Business Agenda project we successfully worked with AICC and CIPE. Kabul Group implemented the entire survey, all over the country, on community business priority towards the establishment of a national business agenda for Afghanistan heading for the 2006 National Business Agenda for Afghanistan and presented it to government, donors, parliamentarian members, and the business community in the chamber of commerce in Afghanistan .

National Survey for the Chamber of Commerce of Afghanistan : CIPE/GTZ as donors relied on Kabul Group to survey business community, analyze and report the results to the Chamber of Commerce Reform Commission.

Nationwide Mental Structure Model Survey: Kabul Group being chosen by OTF- USAID developed a project obtaining the viewpoints of businessmen and traders regarding business conditions and prospects as well as their views relating to the present and future conditions of the economy of Afghanistan .

National Research on private Business Registered in Afghanistan : We worked on a survey contracted by GTZ relating the operational status of companies registered by the Afghan Investment Support Agency (AISA) delivering to the donors data analysis and written report with recommendations regarding the findings of the survey.

Focus Group for Training needs assessments: The Center for International Private Enterprise relied on Kabul Group team to conducted surveys and organized focus Groups in four major cities of the country.

Research Branch specific surveys
In sensitive southern areas:
Survey in Kandahar , Uruzgan, Helmand, Farah, Zabul, Daikundi: The ISAF relied on the capacity to move in the south and east of Afghanistan of the Kabul Group to undertake surveys. Four surveys had to be undertaken each year, and the contract was extended for two terms

Business development past-experience
In sensitive southern areas:
Uruzgan Chamber of Commerce: The project was assigned by the CIPE and the AICC. The Kabul Group established and organized the Uruzgan Province Chamber of Commerce, advised on the improvement of business issues and interest at the policymaking level, better communication, exploring avenues for non-dues income, etc.

Afghan Carpet Delegation to US and Exhibition in Uruzgan: The KG, AICC; and CIPE organized the first exhibition in Uruzgan for carpet weavers and traders to sell their carpets. Furthermore, and from that experience the Kabul Group accompanied the first group of Afghan carpet producers and traders to US markets with US embassy and US carpet clients. As an outcome for the carpeters a million USD was sold on carpets.

Trainings
In sensitive southern areas:
Kandahar Fresh Fruit Association: Roots of Peace International relied on the Kabul Group to train the members of the association: Accounting course, business plan, and development.

Business Association in South Afghanistan: Through the NGO Roots of Peace International the Kabul Group has advised this business association in south Afghanistan and provided business administration courses.
